About SunTree Skincare

Freshness Your Skin Can Taste

Our Story

At SunTree Skincare, we believe that your skin deserves only the best, most nourishing ingredients. Our journey began when our founder remembered how, in her childhood, she and her family would create all kinds of remedies at home using ingredients from the kitchen cupboard. Drawing on that inspiration, she started creating her own skincare products, using ingredients like olive oil, sunflower oil, avocado oil, Aloe Vera, and cucumbers, to name a few. Through continuous study and research of skincare formulations, she began to combine more complex food ingredients, refining her formulas over time.

As her formulas improved, her friends and family began to take notice, requesting samples and providing feedback. It became clear that there was a great need for natural skincare products – products that were free of harsh chemicals and full of choice ingredients.

And so, SunTree Skincare was born. The name represents the life source of the sun and the tree, which is a living representation of that life source – always expanding and reaching for higher heights. At SunTree Skincare, we’re dedicated to harnessing the power of nature to promote healthy, vibrant skin. Join us on our journey to nourish your skin from the inside out.

About Me

Kristina Brooks

Owner, Product Developer

My name is Kristina. I am the owner and product developer here at SunTree Skincare, located in Tucson, Arizona, USA. My passion for skincare started in late 2008, but the journey itself goes way back, across the ocean.

My journey started in Latvia, a small Baltic country in Northeastern side of Europe. I was born in Riga, the capital city of Latvia. Life was very simple. My mother passed away when I was 5 years old. My grandmother raised my older brother and me. My father worked three jobs to support us all. Growing up I learned to appreciate simple things in life. Because we did not have much, my grandmother taught me a lot of life skills that now I see as a privilege- gardening, cooking, sewing, etc. There was always a home remedy for any illness, and a solution to any problem. All of our food came either from our garden or the central market, which is like a giant farmer’s market that is open every day and has everything you need.

I loved my childhood, and I remember it with a great deal of appreciation. However, my dream was to come to the United States to further my studies after high school. When I came to the USA in 2004, one of the first things I was recommended was to shop at Whole Foods and choose organic food. I was shocked to find out that there is such a thing as “non-organic” food. Always curious, I started studying food and nutrition. My passion was to research superfoods that would boost the immune system and longevity.

As life went on, I got married. When I got pregnant with my oldest child in 2008, I became more conscious about skin nutrition. With a growing belly, I started looking at skincare products that would support my skins health. Applying the same research method I did with food, I realized that I could not use most of the skincare products that were available, due to their toxic contents. I had to do something about it and I had my grandmother in mind when it came to creative problem solving. I remembered how back in my childhood we would create all kinds of remedies at home, so I started creating my own skincare products. I began applying foods I would have in my kitchen cupboard- olive oil, sunflower oil, avocado oil, Aloe Vera, and cucumbers, to name a few. Little by little, I started combing more complex food ingredients through continuous study of skincare formulations and research.

As I refined my skin care formulas, my friends naturally started to ask for samples. After getting feedbacks from my friends and family, I realized that this world is in great need of more natural skin care products – free of chemicals, and full of choice ingredients.

This is how SunTree Skincare was born. The Sun representing the life source, and the Tree- a living representation of that life source, always expanding and reaching for higher heights!

Therefore, we welcome you to join our movement! And, once again, Thank You!
